The Solidarity Gala “Há Música ao Fundo do Túnel” (There’s Music at the End of the Tunnel) is part of the social programme of the World Mental Health Congress (WFMH Congress 2025), celebrating in Barcelos the connection between art, solidarity, and emotional well-being.

Music has a unique ability to touch emotions, bring people together, and inspire change. With that spirit, on 30 October 2025, in Barcelos, the Solidarity Gala “Há Música ao Fundo do Túnel” will take place as part of the social programme of the WFMH Congress 2025. The event will be held at the Saint Bento Menni Auditorium, in the Casa de Saúde S. João de Deus, promising an evening of celebration, empathy, and connection through art.

Promoted with the institutional support of the Portuguese Republic and the National Health Service, this Solidarity Gala is one of the most symbolic initiatives within the Congress’s social agenda, highlighting the role of culture and creativity in promoting mental health and emotional well-being.

The line-up brings together artists from different generations and musical styles, united by a shared spirit of solidarity. Lena D’Água, one of Portugal’s most iconic voices, will perform with the charisma and energy that define her career. The talented young singer Beatriz Felício will offer an authentic and emotional performance, while the duo Villa Nazca will present a contemporary blend of folk and pop sounds. Adding a touch of humour, Laura will take the stage with a stand-up comedy act that promises laughter and connection with the audience.

The Gala will also feature a special performance by the Choir of the Magalhães Lemos Hospital, reinforcing the link between art and emotional recovery. Their presence symbolises the power of collective expression and the importance of music as a therapeutic and inclusive tool.

Part of the project “Há Música ao Fundo do Túnel” (hmft.pt), this event continues to demonstrate that there is always room for hope, even in the most challenging moments. The Barcelos edition reaffirms the commitment to uniting health, culture, and solidarity on one stage — inviting everyone to experience a moment of inspiration and human connection.

More than a performance, it will be a celebration of life, empathy, and resilience, reminding us that even when the path seems difficult, music remains one of the most beautiful ways to find light at the end of the tunnel.
